Wallonia-Brussels International

Created in 2010 as an offshoot of Wallonia-Brussels International and the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, WBA supports the international dissemination and promotion of architectural practices (architects, town planners, landscape designers, photographers, graphic designers, etc.) from French-speaking Belgium. It also helps these creative professionals in their export process.

WBA's mission is to:

  • Support the internationalisation of architects and related professions working in Wallonia and Brussels.
  • Create links between Belgian and international players in the sector.
  • Promote and enhance the expertise of WBF architects abroad.
  • Support talents from Wallonia and Brussels in their export endeavours.

To achieve this, WBA:

  • Organises exhibitions in key international architecture venues.
  • Establishes conferencing and debate programmes.
  • Develops networking opportunities.
  • Facilitates meetings with the international press, foreign architects, potential customers and decision-makers from abroad.
  • Invites key figures to Belgium to discover the potential in Wallonia-Brussels.
  • Organises building visits with local architects.
  • Creates promotional tools.
  • Distributes published works on architecture in Wallonia-Brussels.
  • Refers professionals to various forms of assistance, financial support and opportunities.
