In a finite world, designing landscapes requires a REGENERATIVE and MATERIALIST approach,one that pay attention to what is there,how we act.We embrace the crisis of "the living" as a call to reconnect, through PLAY and RELATIONAL aesthetics. Our work is rooted in the present and outlines the contours of a future we design collaboratively with the living. Landscape is CAPITAL!

From Rotterdam to Barcelona, from Paris, Brussels to Zurich, the structure of the practice has, since 2006, been envisaged as an evolving entity, adaptive and responsive to those heterogeneous and complex challenges. How? The practice acts as a conductor, curator, and mediator of transformation processes.To do so tacit knowledge of gardening, bricolage and painting, are used.

Co-founder Dr.Thierry KANDJEE
His practice combines critical gardening & design, editorial projects (Landscape Architecture Europe 2012), and studio teaching (ENSP Versailles, Rmit Melbourne, ULB Brussels, NUS Singapore). Since 2025, he has been developing Taktyk Tropics, a critical practice that strives for a decolonial approach to landscape.

Co-founder Dr. Sébastien PENFORNIS
is an architect and urban designer in charge of taktyk Paris office. He also teaches at the ENSAB, Rennes. His practice based research explored the notion of play and serendipity through the landscape design processes and transformations.

Partner Simon AUPERPIN
is an architect, painter and designer. His work focuses on the adaptation and reappropriation of territories as a carrier of cultural, social and ecological transitions.

Partner Dr. Thania SAKELLARIOU
holds state qualifications in architecture and urban planning, complemented by a specialization in landscape architecture. She leads design studios at the École Nationale Supérieure du Paysage de Versailles and at ENSAB Rennes. Her research-driven practice melds rigorous constructive detailing with theoretical inquiry, deploying interventions from micro-scale insertions to comprehensive landscape strategies.
