Strengthening synergy: the WB network's inter-agency events

In a context where cross-disciplinary collaborations are playing an increasingly important role in international cultural projects, the international promotion agencies and services of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation launched, in 2022, a series of inter-agency gatherings designed to encourage exchanges between professionals from different creative sectors.

Conceived as informal networking events, these evenings bring together architects, designers, fashion professionals, performing artists, musicians, filmmakers and representatives from higher education twice a year.

Building connections across disciplines

The WB inter-agency events are designed as spaces for dialogue and the sharing of expertise.

Alongside Wallonie-Bruxelles Architectures, the evening brought together representatives from Wallonie-Bruxelles Design Mode, Wallonie-Bruxelles Musiques, Wallonie-Bruxelles Théâtre Danse, Wallonie-Bruxelles Images and Wallonie-Bruxelles Campus. Together, these organisations support the international development of creative professionals from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation across their respective fields.

Beyond the specific concerns of each discipline, the discussions highlighted a number of shared issues related to international mobility, the dissemination of creative work, professional networks and emerging forms of collaboration.

By fostering exchanges between sectors that too rarely have the opportunity to meet, this initiative helps strengthen synergies within the cultural ecosystem of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and encourages the development of cross-disciplinary international collaborations.
