In the disciplinary field of architecture and, more broadly, of environments, USAGES operates, whether through cultural or built acts, with an awareness of the potential capacity for harm (Papanek, 1985) - at once social, environmental and cultural - of our thoughts and built acts.
In mirroring this, the capacity for benevolence and fertile symbiosis with its contexts (near and far) overhangs and guides all the decisions taken within the USAGES architecture and land care studio.
USAGES was founded in 2019 by two experienced and award-winning partners. Gilles Debrun is an ornithologist, architect, author, curator and studio leader at the UCLouvain Faculty of Architecture. Dimitri Fache is a visual artist, architect, self-builder and studio leader at the UCLouvain Faculty of Architecture.
