Construction of Saham Bank Headquarters

About: The ten-storey building is designed to accommodate the bank’s offices and conference center. Exemplary in terms of well-being and environmental responsibility, it is intended to symbolize a corporate culture in transition.
The project draws on the contextual elements of the new Casa Anfa business district to ensure the functional and aesthetic relevance of its architectural concept.
The new building is composed of three layers: a base anchoring the project within its urban context, a generous suspended park above it, and an eight-storey cross-shaped structure resting on four large pillars.
The suspended park - a true place for meeting and sharing - provides cooling while fostering biodiversity. At the intersection of the four wings of the cross, a void runs through the building from bottom to top. This patio, lined with walkways where all bank staff intersect, also serves as a natural cooling device for the core, thanks to the reflecting pool that covers the reception hall below.
The eight upper levels, flooded with natural light, offer flexible and versatile office floor plates. They are designed to accommodate new ways of working, alternating between spaces for concentration, meetings, and collaborative immersion.
In its composition, the building echoes traditional Moroccan architecture, making full use of natural resources such as earth, air, water, and light.
Through the integration of greenery and the use of natural materials such as wood, terracotta, and rammed earth, the headquarters is conceived as a biophilic building that promotes well-being at work.
An exemplary model in terms of circular economy, it is set to become a symbol of eco-responsible commitment within Morocco’s finance and construction sectors.
