Transformation and elevation of a 1920s residential building, enhancing both the quantity and the quality of housing units.

About

The building is located in a dense urban neighborhood, at the lower part of Forest. Built in 1924 by J. Devillers, it is a terraced construction originally composed of two apartments.

 

The project aims to improve the quality of the housing and to add a new residential unit, thereby contributing to the densification of the city without altering the interior of the block.

 

It proposes a renovation that enhances the existing structure, guided by a strong commitment to sustainability: the use of bio-sourced materials, reuse, improved energy performance, renewable energy, and responsible water management.
