MIES AWARD 2017 -NAVEZ HOUSING, MSA/V+: "HEROÏC AND ORDINARY"
The European Commission and the Mies van der Rohe Foundation have chosen to give the Emergenging Architect Prize to the social housing in Schaerbeek, built by MSA, in momentary association with V +, within the framework of the district contract Navez-Portaels.

It is the first time since the creation of the Prize in 1988 that a Belgian office wins one of the two prize of the event. Baukunst and its Sport Center in Spa is the second Belgian project selected amongst the 40 finalists of the Prize 2017.

This consecration greets the increasing quality of the contemporary architectural production carried by brilliant French-speaking Belgian offices and supported by public authorities committed in the politics of promotion of the architectural quality.

The opportunity for WBA to greet the talent of this French-speaking Belgian scene at the same time audacious, creative and implied socially, with the question of the user in the heart of the concerns.
