entrer: Don't miss the exhibition, the publication and the season in Paris
Wallonia-Brussels Architectures has the pleasure to invite you in Paris to attend the various events of the season entrer: organized within the framework of the eponym exhibition.

The exhibition and the publication will be launched on November 4th and will last from November 5th till January 12th at the Centre Wallonia-Brussels in Paris.

entrer: is an invitation to take a stroll through the traces of five committed architecture projects that have recently left their mark on the Belgian landscape. There is a former chapel that houses the reserve collections of the museums of the city of Mons (by Atelier Gigogne architectures +L' Escaut), a sports centre that has redrawn a landscape in Spa (by Baukunst ), an industrial conversion that reinforced the centre of Dison (by Baumans-Deffet), a footbridge that transformed a public space in Brussels (by MSA +Ney&Partners), and a garden pavilion in Renaix that articulates a professional kitchen and an art collection (par Vers.A).

But how to convey the materiality and spatiality of architectural projects located kilometres away from the exhibition venue and therefore removed from their specific context? Architecture produces spaces and atmospheres that can be grasped and understood through the physical discovery of the place. The stroll emerged as not only a tool with which to grasp the spatiality and materiality of the projects, but also as an analytical method and as a medium to convey the results.

Audrey Contesse, the curator, invites the photographer Maxime Delvaux and a sound designer Christophe Rault to give their analysis on the five projects. Two analyses under the shape of a video and a soundtrack that are not synchronized, complete a collection of objects gleaned and selected by the curator on every sites and in the offices of the architects to highlight the materiality and the relevance of the projects.

Coinciding with the exhibition entrer:, a season devoted to Belgian contemporary architecture opens in the autumn of 2015:

05/11 at the Centre Wallonia-Brussels: Round table around the question: "The evolution of the French architectural commission over the past decade."

24/11 at the Pavillon de l'Arsenal: Lecture on the topic: “How to modify the context to make it more sustainable: five Belgian examples”

10/12 at the Librairie Volume: Lecture and launch of the exhibition-sale of a selection of photographs by Maxime Delvaux.

The season will continue in 2016 with a series of events organised in cooperation with Parisian schools of architecture.
