Architects

dA architectes

Description

Maud André and Pierre de Wit first met at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Liège, where they initiated their collaboration. They went on to found dA architectes in 2017.

Their working method is versatile and operates across all project scales: individual and collective housing, cultural, sports and tertiary infrastructures, as well as transformations, heritage restoration and furniture design. Whether urban, environmental, financial or social, context is a fundamental component of their approach.

dA places great importance on the quality of human relationships with all stakeholders involved in a project. Their professional recognition stems from a strong capacity for listening combined with a well-grounded practice. Their commitment to ensuring conceptual coherence, carried through to the finest detail, gives rise to architectural responses that are both precise and poetic.

The practice builds upon the approaches of several generations of architects, bringing them into dialogue. Their work reflects a desire to combine knowledge, experience and skills in order to develop accurate, singular and sensitive responses to each project. Experience and experimentation, as well as realism and curiosity, are closely intertwined, supporting the development of projects deeply rooted in the everyday realities and challenges of human life.
