arc en rêve centre d’architecture in Bordeaux, France, is seeking to recruit a publishing and communication manager.

Established in 1980 in Bordeaux, arc en rêve aims to build an architectural culture sharedwith all thoseinvolved in creating cities: council officials, professionals, intellectuals,and residents both young and old.

Both global and local, its identity is rootedin a programmedevoted to showcasing both outstanding architectural work andthe quality of ordinary architecture, focusing on the way they relate to modesof use and social issues. 
This strategyhas made arc en rêve into afully-fledged institution. A major centre showcasing worldwide culturalarchitectural output, it also contributes to quality local planning initiativesinBordeaux and the Nouvelle‐Aquitaine region and help to raise theirprofile further afield.

arc en rêve centre d'architecture is located within the Entrepôt Lainé, sharing spaces with the capc Museum of Contemporary Art.

Applicant profile

Architecture or landscape architecture graduate with a minimum of fouryears ofexperience in publishing and/or communication. Fluent in English and French (a third language would be greatly appreciated).

Under the supervision of the director, the publishing and communication manager is in charge of all on-line and paper publishing and communication for the institution. They supervise the management of information flows and editorial aspects of arc en rêve. Their aim is to support the mission of arc en rêve with a coherent strategy applied to a range of different vectors (books, printed matter, website, social media, relations with national and international media).

Role

– Develop publishing and communication strategies for arc en rêve
– Coordinate the design, production and publication of content (for our website, for social media, in publications, etc.)
– Manage relations with external partners and contributors (authors, publishers, suppliers, consultants, etc.), also taking charge of all the relevant administrative and budget-related tasks
– Supervise the communication and press relations team, paying special attention to digital and multimedia
– Coordinate in-house communication (with the team and governance bodies)
– Contribute to discussions about the graphic identity of the institution and its activities
– Take part in activities connected to external relations and philanthropy / patronage
– Take part in promotional and advertising initiatives
