Masterplan Competition International Financial Center in Russia

It's a two-stage open international competition for the development of the masterplan of the International Financial Centre in Rublyovo-Arkhangelskoye.

The competition is held by CJSC Rublyovo-Arkhangelskoye, part of the CJSC Sberbank Russia group of companies, and is supported by Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design.

Applicants are required to have expertise in masterplanning of projects measuring over 30 hectares in order to qualify. The first stage of the competition will be a qualification round to determine the 8 participants that will take part in the second stage of the competition. The qualifying participants will be selected in November 2013 by the international jury, composed of representatives of the federal and municipal governments, Russian and foreign architects and urban planners and urban planning experts. The purpose of the second stage of the competition is the development of masterplan options for Rublyovo-Arkhangelskoye site.

 

About the project

International Financial Centre in Rublyovo-Arkhangelskoye is a 460 hectare mixed-use development project located in the west of ‘New Moscow', in the floodplain of the Moscow River, five kilometers from the Moscow Outer Ring Road.

 

The project involves the construction of offices, housing, hotels, commercial and social infrastructure.
