anotHER VIEWture Award

The anotHERVIEWture AWARD highlights the achievements of women in architecture and engineering sciences and sends a strong signal for equality and innovation. Initiated by the Austrian Federal Chamber of Architects and Chartered Engineering Consultants, this award recognizes outstanding projects by female architects and engineers and creates role models for future generations.

Categories anotHERVIEWture Award 2026

The anotHERVIEWture Award highlights the achievements of women in architecture and engineering and sends a strong signal for equality, diversity, and innovation in building culture. The award recognizes outstanding projects and professional achievements by female architects and engineers at the national and international level.

The award will be presented in four categories in 2026:

• Category I: Female Architect of the Year

The “Female Architect of the Year” award honours the work of Austrian female architects.
Three realized and built projects must be submitted.

• Category II: Emerging Female Architect of the Year

The “Emerging Female Architect of the Year” award honours the work of Austrian female architects under 40 years of age at the time of the deadline for submission.
Three projects must be submitted: one of them realized and built, two can be planned or competition contributions

• Category III: National / International Female Engineering Achievement of the Year

The “National/International Female Achievement of the Year” award honours solutions that have been achieved using methods or processes in the respective technical field and are characterized by:

• Innovation and/or
• Complexity of the planning task solved and/or
• Outstanding design

One realized project must be submitted considering aspects, such as functionality, innovation, rationality, and ecology.

• Category IV: International Female Architect of the Year

The “International Female Architect of the Year” award honours female architects registered in countries other than Austria.
Three realized and built projects must be submitted.

Dates & Deadlines

• Submission Period : March 31 until June 30, 2026
  Prize: € 5.000 per category
• Jury Meeting: September 18, 2026
• Award Ceremony at Architekturzentrum Wien : October 22, 2026, 17:00
