Architizer A+Awards 2027

The Architizer A+Awards is the largest awards program focused on promoting and celebrating the year’s best architecture and spaces. Its mission is to nurture the appreciation of meaningful architecture in the world and champion those designers that are integral to bringing great buildings to life.

Judges nominate five finalists within each award category. These finalists are then presented online where design practitioners and enthusiasts from around the globe vote for their favorites during a highly publicized campaign. The winners of the A+ Popular Choice Awards are honored alongside Jury Winners. In 2025, we received over 300,000 public votes.

The A+Awards Categories

Great architecture is driven as much by concepts and materials as by formal and programmatic decisions, so the A+Awards categories were created to encompass the many facets of design.

The Typology Categories celebrate traditional building types.
The Plus Categories recognize the link between social and material considerations and the structures that respond to them.
The Firm Categories honor a firm’s larger portfolio of work, with awards for firms of all sizes and specializations.
The Sustainability Categories honor projects with an emphasis on sustainable systems, climate positive materials and ethical building practices.

All A+Awards Winners receive a comprehensive promotional package designed to recognize their achievements and provide them with international recognition for their work. This includes:

The World’s Best Architecture is an annual compendium of the world’s most inspiring architecture, published by Architizer. Featuring participating A+Awards winners, who are chosen by our illustrious jury from thousands of entries around the globe, The World's Best Architecture is the definitive guide to the year’s best buildings and spaces. Featured works from recent editions include: Transamerica Pyramid Center by Foster + Partners, Perth Museum by Mecanoo, Populous by Studio Gang, Nokha Village Community Center by Sanjay Puri Architects, and Xi’an Centre Culture Business District by Heatherwick Studio, along with more than 125 other projects.
