New Taipei Museum of Art design competition

Parting from the concept of localization, New Taipei City expects a multi-arts center adequate for the area and city at the international level. It is expected that by playing the role of arts-core, it will lead the city into an artistic professionalism and satisfy the needs of the artists and performers as well as the citizens.

This project can be divided into different sections such as Museum of Contemporary Art, Children's Museum of Arts, multifunctional performance hall, administrative space, public service space, parking space etc.
 
The project is handled through an open tendering process to evaluate the outstanding architectural team, and together to create a landmark for New Taipei City, as well as increase value of tourism and energy of art.
 
The site of New Taipai Museum of Art consists of a portion (an area of 25,000m2) at Zhongzheng 25-9, Yingge District, New Taipei City (an area of approximately 44,000m2). The main structure shall situate on Museum site with 25,000m2 and another 19,000m2 is for landscape design.

3rd Prize NTD $1.500.000
4th – 6th  Prize NTD $1.000.000 each
