Created in 2011, AUXAU brings together a team of volunteer architects committed to participating in the development of sustainable, quality projects, with wisdom, simplicity and frugality.
The studio's architectural practice is inspired by the principle of "dictation with holes", conveying the idea that each intervention will complete the gaps left to meet needs, in perfect relation to the existing context, with reuse and valorization of what can be preserved as our leitmotiv.
Our aim is to propose an architecture stimulated by the pleasure of creating convivial spaces for all, imbued with poetry and fragments of personal history, which will shape a unique and directly appropriable project.
Etymologically, "AUXAU" takes its name from the famous OXO bouillon cube, which, like a flavor enhancer, doesn't modify flavors, but increases their intensity. AUXAU is also a game... a sort of puzzle, where the wishes of the client, natural, ecological, town-planning, technical and philosophical constraints feed our general thinking to create a coherent whole.
